OCCC is the second-largest convention center in the United States. It is also just a short drive away from Disney World and Universal Studios. 

The OCCC has more than 2 million square feet to accommodate your exhibitions and is no stranger to hosting events. This convention center hosts approximately 230 different events each year. 

There are also plenty of great hotels within walking distance, such as the Rosen Centre Hotel, the Hyatt Regency, and the Hilton Orlando. It is also extremely easy for attendees from all around the country to reach this convention center since the Orlando International Airport is not far away. 

2. World Congress Center, Atlanta

The World Congress Center is located in Atlanta, Georgia where Southern hospitality and warm weather will greet everyone with open arms as they arrive. As one of the largest convention centers, it offers around 1.5 million square feet of space for exhibits. 

The World Congress Center is the largest convention center to have LEED-certification with a Gold certificate. The center can also help you plan an energy sustainable event. 

It is also conveniently located near the Omni Atlanta Hotel and the Hyatt Regency, both having plenty of rooms that can help you host your attendees. For those who aren’t flying in, the World Congress Center parking area allows you to park nearby and with peace of mind. 

For fun activities outside of the convention, there is the World of Coca-Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium nearby. 

3. Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada boasts not just one grand convention center for your event, but three! These facilities are the Las Vegan Convention Center, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. 

Each one of these venues offers approximately 1 million square feet of exhibit space and has over 5,000 hotel rooms within walking distance. The centers are each located within a 7-minute drive of the McCarren International Airport which makes travel to and from your event a breeze. 

4. Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans

Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is one of the main business hubs in New Orleans for hosting large events. The center has 1.1 million square feet so there is plenty of space for all of your exhibition needs and is sixth in the nation in size. 

This convention center has three floors for your guests to enjoy and is also home to the New Orleans Theater, a ballroom, a great hall, and more than enough parking. There are also several different retail cafes for anyone who gets hungry and a decent variety of concessions stands throughout the many halls. 

5. International Exposition Center, Cleveland

This convention center is more commonly known as the I-X Center and is located in Cleveland, Ohio. It has been operational for over 30 years and is known for hosting memorable consumer shows, meetings, and numerous conventions. 

I-X is conveniently located near the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport making access to out of town visitors quick and easy. The convention center features over one million square feet of exhibition space, 26 meeting rooms, and more than enough parking.  

6. Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis

Indianapolis is a fantastic city with plenty of local history, excellent city life, and inviting hospitality. The Indiana Convention Center is perfect for large events, boasting 750,000 square feet of exhibit space. It is connected to the Lucas Oil Stadium, a popular destination for football fans, and is home to the Indianapolis Colts. 

There are skywalks connecting the convention center to nearby hotels, such as the JW Marriott Indianapolis. This makes traveling from the event to your room safe and easy after a long day. 

The convention center is also conveniently located near the Indianapolis International Airport so attendees can easily navigate there and back. 

7. Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas is a wonderful city that has beautiful warm weather almost year-round. This makes it the perfect destination when hosting a large event because you rarely have to worry about accommodating cold weather. Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center has approximately 514,000 square feet of space for exhibits so most large events will fit comfortably here. 

The facility was refurbished and expanded in 2016 so all the features are brand new and top of the line. It is conveniently located downtown near shops and restaurants along the River Walk. 

For entertainment, after your event, there is the historic Alamo Museum or the Mexican Cultural Institue for your visitors to enjoy. 

8. Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville

The Kentucky Exposition Center is more commonly known as the “Fairgrounds.” It is one of the biggest convention centers on the East Coast with 1.2 million square feet of exhibition space. 

Located across the street from the Louisville International Airport it is convenient for all out-of-town travelers. The exposition center also has a large theater known as the Broadbent Arena and a skywalk to help pedestrians travel from one building to the next.
